I would just have a shop do it for you to keep it simple. That is if it does in fact need replaced!

Yeah for sure. I'm a do it yourself type of guy and catch on quickly, most of the time. But I sure would hate to pull this thing in a few thousand miles to have it done right.

The problem isn't that it won't last long. It's hard to get the front bearing lined up right and easy to damage it. I think it's either a right or wrong. I don't thinkk that there's any "will work for now."

Update: my bearings look fine, no blueing or wear, so I think I will just reuse these. It may be a mistake later on down the road, but we shall see.
