Ok, heres the deal. My IP was leaking diesel into crankcase, Had to do somethin fast. PMed mel about baby moose, knowing that was the way to go.
Did not have a core, and could not have truck down for long. Mel was willing to work with me on the issue which I really apreciate, unfortunatly I did not have the spare cash to proceed.
So what I decided to do was get a reman from pensicola diesel to get me by, then I would also have a spare running pump to get moosed in the future. So anyway to make long story short, put pump on yesterday, static timed and primed acording to article in tech tips. I also replaced filter with new one. Yesterday test drove about 2.5 to 3 miles and not a problem. Ran similar to what it did before with a little less response out of the hole.(did not turn up fuel as to not void waranty) Then today I get to work and pop the hood just cause im parinoid, and my valley pan is wet. No big deal huh, Probly a line loose or something. So at lunch time I baby powder the hell out of valley pan and when I got to work (about a mile from my house) I pop hood again. No rabbit tracks, Just a total wash job, all powder is gone.
I fear the fuel is leaking from weep hole. Has anyone had this experience? Will look into more tommorow, hope im missing something stupid. Any body have any ideas what else could be the problem. BTW it doesnt seem to leak at idle when i can watch, only when accelerating down the road. Ive watched at idle for quiet a while, and no drips, runs, or sprays. I get down the road and VP is pooled in back. Any help apreciated
