But on a happier note.
My conversations with Chatham fuel injection leads me to believe I will be getting a quality rebuild from them.
But only back to stock ford settings
This definitely sounds like the way to go right now. You might end up being a hero to fellow Canadians if you have found a good in-country rebuilder. At least it's easy enough to turn your fuel up if you want to, after the warranty's past of course.

Nothing wrong with stock is it? You can turn the pump up yourself a little bit if you want, it's not hard to do. Your engine will last a long long time near stock.

You are correct.
I was bringing attention to this, for the people who want the ability to make bigger power gains.
That this company does not do that.

You also would not get the improved fueling curves that some of the rebuilders talk about even on their regular or stock size cc pumps

The one time I have messed with this, a guy I worked with had a stock 94 idi and had the pump rebuilt. He said the rebuilder told him he had "turned it up". When he was pulling his boat over the mountain it would start blowing a lot of black smoke.

I found a article a guy had written on the internet on how to adjust the fuel. I turned it down two flats and no more black smoke. But he said that the next time he pulled the mountain, it started losing speed and the cruise control kicked out. He dropped it off again, and I turned it back up one flat on the allen wrench. He said that was perfect, it held speed going up the mountain pulling his boat. He was a big fisherman.
