I believe Dodge had the 7 year, 70,000 mile warranty until the 2006 model year. Can anyone verify this?

Is there still a 100,000 mile warranty on the engine?

Looking like I'll be buying a new truck within the year. It will either be a Ram 3500 or an F-350. Given that Ford has had problems with the 6.0 and is releasing a new 6.4 this time next year, I'll almost certainly be buying the Dodge. Can't pass up on the 5.9.

Wish they hadn't uglied up the front end this year. The 2003-2005 models were perfect.

it seems like mine have two different warranties.. the 2003 had 7/70 bumper to bumper and the 2004.5 had 3/36. both have 100k on the engine. i might have it wrong...more curious about the changes to the front end of the 06' tho... didn't know they were making any changes and the web site doesn't really show anything different.

The warranty on my '05 is 3 years/60000km bumper to bumper, 100,000km drivetrain, and 150,000km motor. I would imagine U.S. warranties are similar, and I'm 99% sure the motor is warrantied to 100,000 miles. Which means I'm getting shorted 12,000km.

Wow. I shoulda bought an '03.

Why does Dodge feel that the '06 trucks aren't worthy of the 7/70 warranty?

That makes me a bit angry... if the '03 trucks were, then what changed for the '06? Too many claims on the '03 taking Dodge up on its 7/70 offer?

Grrrrr....

we were informed at our dealership that chrysler/dodge has dropped the 7/70 bumper to bumper warranty on all models in 2003, the dealer might have told you you have a 7/70, but guess what, you dont. if you would like me to run your vin# through DCA terminals at work i can, and tell you your exact warranty. if you would like just pm me the last 9 digits of your vin #. the engine is still 100k, fear not, cummins and dodge are in a binding contract as to the warranty coverage on the engine. the reason we were given for the 7/70 drop was this"people are not using the 7/70k as we thought they would, not enough people are using it past 36k therefore we are dropping it" i think thats a load of bunk, we do more warranty b/s than anything else, people use it, oh yes they do.

Yeah, you'd better BELIEVE they do! I suspect they used it so much Dodge couldn't afford it while keeping prices affordable (ha!) on new trucks.

Standard warranty up to 05 year model is as follows
3year 36000 bumper to bumper.
7year 70000 powertrain.
7year100000 on the cummins.
At least thats what was written up on my paperwork as a standard warranty.
