Heads are back, just took pump and injectors in...

Heads look good, cleaned up nice. Took pump in and getting it rebuilt and should push 90cc's of fuel and governor set at 4k, fueling until about 3600 rpms. We will see how that goes. Should I have him advance the timing curve? Or should he do that automatically?

I took it to a local pump shop, very reputable. La Crosse diesel. Was also wondering what stock turbo pump flow is

Either 90 or 100 cc I think

Should I tell him I want 100cc? I just figured I would try to stick with the junior moose flow. Will my truck handle 100cc pretty decent?

that cant be right can it? A stock pump flows 90-100 cc's, and the hotrod moose pump flows 102?

why do you want your engine to rev so high?

what do you have done to your bottom end so you don't let daylight into the crank case?

I would think the valves might "float" at those high rpm's. However, I could be wrong.

valves would be the least of my worries at those speeds. although floated valves are no walk in the park either as far as damage goes. it is still better than a hole in the block.

Based on the videos that have been posted in the past of people running these engines up to 4K+ RPM's, yes, the valves will float unless you put in stronger springs.

I've said it before, and I will say it again...unless you've done some work to the valvetrain and to the bottom end to make the engine stronger, you are playing with fire.
