This is a interesting paper a little dated with regards to off road diesel. 5th page talks about removing sulfur. I find the sentence stating the use of low sulfur fuel in northern California since 1985.

Our lodge has fund raisers every year. Guess who keeps the used canola oil??? I mix it one gallon per fill up. So far so good. Cant complain about the odor, either.
Been working on the front suspension, one piece at a time. Last 2 pieces are the Pitman arm and the drag link.

I guess if you consider my thoughts on WMO, I would be considered negative by some people. To me, if you want to sacrifice your injection pump to save thousands of dollars on fuel, then that is your choice. Subtract the cost of getting a new pump every few years, you most likely will still come out ahead depending on the price of fuel.

My caveat to the argument of whether WMO does any damage to the pump, I challenge anyone who cleans up the WMO as good as they can, to start putting it in the engine. If you feel that is too risky, then I say you are admitting it does cause wear and damage to the injection pump.

I personally do not want to mess with my pump after so many years, so I choose not to use it.

Low sulfur is not Ultra low sulfur.

0.05% vs 15ppm.

I have used Stanadyne Performance Formula for over 20 years.

I've used Stanadyne Performance Formula most of the years I've owned my '93 7.3. Got over 150,000 miles on the factory pump and injectors. It also disperses water so I never have to drain water from the filter.
