Deleting the stock fuel pump, this is the block off plate that the googler spit out.

Does this get the job done or are there other recommendations out there?

I believe so. Don't remember part number off hand, but I grabbed one off the performance wall of orily for a chebby to do mine. Looked like that one. Someone will correct me if I'm incorrect on that being the correct part number

I think it's simply a big block Chevy block-off plate.

Yes that will work. I've done this a few times and used the same block off plate for a BBC. Never needed any modifications. They should just bolt right in place of the mechanical lift pump.

I used a BB Chevrolet plate and the casting flange on the block held it off so I had to grind mine just a little for it to clear

There are for sure two parts numbers and the one will leak some if you don't grind a small part off. I've had both, they are listed on here somewhere but I can't find it. It's an easy fix if you get the wrong one though, just let the truck idle for 5 minutes and find out before you go driving.

I made my own (too lazy to go to the store and buy one ). Just buy one and match it up with the profile of your old fuel pump. Grind away if needed.
