Anyone have any recommendations for e-fuel pumps? I've heard mixed things about all the e-pumps out there as well as terrible quality mech pumps. I'll need a new fuel pump and I'd like to rid of the possibility of the mech pump diaphragm failing and pumping fuel into the crankcase, as well as ease of swapping out the pump. I dont have any air intrusion. Not why I'm doing this. Also like the ease of bleeding the system. So if anyone's had any good luck with certain pumps or kits id like to hear.

I've had luck with the Facet 40285 Dura-Lift 12v Fuel Pump for my 6.9 IDI which I have seen others use for the 7.3. I used a simpson strong tie for the mount next to the battery and didn't have any issues, I mostly followed the parts in this video

Its definitely an upgrade for bleeding. I'd also be careful for the connections as I had my EFP cutting out from the vibration when I had a loose crimp connector which just made me kill the battery

since you have a banks turbo, a facet does not have enough volume, I used a red Holley in mine, I bought a facet before I was told by Cdd that it does not have enough volume. I use the facet for a pre filter to my Holley red.
The facet is on a separate toggle switch so I use it for a back up n case the Holley fuel pump dies.

Thanks you. Ive been leaning towards the dura-lift, but most the threads I could find were pretty old so I wanted to hear some more recent experiences

Good to know. Does the holley red require a regulator or anythingof the sort?

I've had good luck with my Holley blue that I installed in December.
For what it's worth, I don't think that the fuel in the oil is as big of an issue as people make it out to be. It just doesn't seem to happen that often. What normally happens these days is that the mechanical lift pump just fails to keep up the volume that the engine needs in a short time of being used. They just don't last as long as they used to.

6an to 100 micron pre filter, 6an to Holly red, 6an to 30 micron marine water separator, 6an to factory filter assembly. Fuel pressure guage at input to factory filter assembly 6 psi steady.

Be sure to use a relay and run battery to fuel pump. I use a setup off Amazon with 10 guage.

Truck hasn’t bobbled since I installed the new lines etc.

I bought a 1987 Landmark. E-350 6.9 with a banks installed turbo. It had custom lighting so I have 3 toggles with a fuse box under the hood along with some relays. 1st off is there a " LIFT PUMP " on these ??? It does have a mechanical fuel pump. It starts with a shot of either but won't on its own. Is there a factory in tank fuel pump ?? Someone mentioned i possibly put a " check valve " in the fuel line ???? I've looked over the line & found nothing. I'm NEW to deisels & need all the help I can get. Thank you

There's no pump in the tanks on these. The mechanical pump is the lift pump. A common place to install a check valve is in the rubber hose that attaches to the lift pump.
I'm assuming here that your engine won't start cold without ether but start warm/hot without it. If your engine needs ether to start cold, your first place to start looking is the glow plug system.
