For Sale is my 1979 F350 I purchased for a new project but as life goes I need to sale it. As seen in the pictures the body is the rare crew cab model. It now has a long bed (beds were not available on duallies in 1979). It has been converted to diesel. The motor is a 92 or 93 7.3 International IDI. I drove 258 miles home when I purchased it with no issues at all. It also has a ZF5 standard trans and it did fine at 70mph when I drove it home. The truck has all new tires. It is registered as a diesel in California. No Smog! This will make a great custom restoration! Truck drives but needs additional work and should be considered for custom restoration.

Is that really an eight foot box? it seems to be slightly shorter. There was a crewcab long box yellow 70s ford around my area for a while too. Great looking beast. Haven't seen it for a while but I always assumed it was a custom job of some sort.

IIRC, all the late 70's crew cabs were shortbed only. I used to know a guy that had a long bed, he had to extend the frame to make his own.
This particular truck looks like a C&C with a bed thrown on it; if that's the case the bed might not be a short bed or a long bed.

Especially with how little the outer duals stick out, I think you're right about it starting life as a C&C. FWIW, the bed looks like it's the same length as the bed on my dad's old '67

I remember having this same discussion about this same truck. I'm gonna say 8' bed on a cab/chassis with aftermarket flares for tire coverage.
