Mat J, I have a truck with an 088 D/D mostly unloaded, the turbo is definitely noticeable even when the boost gauge doesn't show anything. You're welcome to test drive my truck anytime you make it up this way if you like. If you have to decide soon, I'd say for the right price, snag it, its a great system. Worst problem I had was getting the downpipe not to vibrate, this was after cutting away part of the firewall, darned saggy cab mounts and what not! In driving around town I rarely see any measureable boost, but if I need to pass somebody or maintain speed on a hill it makes it's presence knowm, likewise, when you get on the highway, all of a sudden you can now keep up with traffic and even have to be careful not to speed. Running down I-75 empty or lightly loaded I see 2-4psi boost at maybe 2500 RPM, at a more comfortable 60 mph I see 1-1.5 psi, i don't know what it would be like with a big load, haven't done it yet, that's why my fuel settings are conservative. I actually like the design except for the lame slipfit downpipe and the big aluminum air cleaner. Then again I plan to keep the truck fairly stock and not worry about big HP until and unless I build another motor, and for that I'm beginning to think the ATS 088 is not adequate, but for a DD it will make the truck more fun to drive and responsive and if you ever get roped in to helping somebody move or towing a big boat or hauling a lot of crap around, the power to do it will be there. That's my .02. probably worth less than what you paid for it.... peace
