460 bbf builds

8.9 MPG's babying it around town with some highway at 60 mph. There was a decent amount of idle time as I was tuning it but damn.

460's are known to be BIG GAS EATERS!

cheap prep for an old 460. Zero timing set, high volume oil pump and shaft, check mains/rods when the pans off, replace with standard size if no markings. leave em if they are okay. new gasket set and front/rear mains. ***** the headers, these engine even breathe well with stock truck manifolds. machine them flat again and seal with high heat copper silicone.

prob did 10 of these back when 4 wheeling was our weekend passtime. I don't even know anybody with a 460 anymore.
