will the 466 fit in a SD truck better then an IDI truck? or is it close in size to the 366?

i guess if i were to do a swap i would use a 466 if i could get one. the cummins swap is as popular as a SBC swap and i have ONE cummins powered truck and thats enough.

Mine is the little brother DT360 and it was a tight fit in my OBS but the superduty has more room under the hood.

I also pulled these pics from Titus, this is a newer generation of 466 but is about the same. I don't think he did any firewall work to squeeze it in a superduty.

I am jelouse, if I could pick up a excursion and DT466 in my budget that would be my next project.

its probably high torque tho .

I’m using a denso starter from the 7.3 with the dt360. The thing spins amazingly fast. Not as fast as the 6.7 starters but fast enough! Carlson stauffer adaptor with a bts is where the moneys at.
