spent today and banged out shocks,
e-brake, bumper, and a few other little items.
I can officially call this rig a runner!
still have a list of things to do
front and rear bumper lights.
license plate light
my receiver is only welded on to the frame, so I gotta drill some holes and insert bolts for redundancy.
im going to rewire all of those fubard, dumba$$ door switches.
this is by far one of the most retarded things ive seen on these trucks.
I will be installing real courtesy light door switches.
I want to get the windows murdered out too.
I need to upgrade the sound system too, the 5 x8's or whatever they are sound like poopoo.
ill be adding new speakers and another amp in time.

the bad news.

im getting a lot of oil out of my exhaust.
im crossing my fingers it just needs to be ran hard after 3 years of sitting.
gonna do throw some ATF in the crank case and run it for a bit to see if itll clean it out, and hopefully unstick that ring.
but she does not have a lot of blowby, and it supprisingly runs great.
shes not a morning person, because she has a bit of a chuff in the morning.
but will go away.
taheell with it, its together, its a runner, lets hope for the best and make plans for the worst.
ive got a few other rides to work on then I can put money into another block.
if I get a year out of her, ill be tickled pink!
need an alignment, and some research on the trans.
it shifts fine, but it will run through all of the gears and then bogg until I give it a good amount of throttle.
then it will kick down, perhaps a tune.
the OD light is burnt out, and wont shut the OD off... I guess that's better than the other way around.
it shifts smooth and acts ok beside these 2 issues.
it has a china OD switch and lever, I know, sub par.

the steering wheel is off, drastically, ill fix that before the alignment, just gotta unhook it ad clock the steering shaft correctly.

spent my running board money on powersteering for the chero. oops.

I think that's a complete run down of the rig.
my kids completely approve

not the turbo, its leaking at the pass side up pipe connection.

the turbo is actually a center section from pure turbo with a billet wheel that has 50k-ish miles on it

There's actually a lot of common leak points that could potentially leak down by the up pipe.
Turbo pedestal, ebpv actuator, hpo rail end plug. Don't seem to see as many leaky vc gaskets, but doesn't mean it can't happen. Also the dipstick adapter into the pan is real common.

There's others, but they wouldn't normally leak onto that area. Unless the valley drain is plugged up.
