Those are stronger then a gearvendors, but I don't know how you'd mount one divorced. I also don't know how available parts are for them anymore.

You're 4x4 right?

Best would be to direct mount it, but that complicates it and makes it a pretty long setup.

Found this. It has all the stuff for a speedo. I know that I could make a mount to run it divorced, but the only hang up is the yolk situation from the t case to this. I’d literally set it up like a divorced t case, but I’m not sure how I’d mount a yolk or flange to the front or this. What do y’all think?

I think the only way I'd try that is if I got a great deal on one because I can't think of a good way without getting another mainshaft made up that you could bolt a yoke onto and that could get expensive fast.

Unless of course you want to take a chance and get a transmission output shaft cut down and splined for a yoke, then get it welded in there so you have the splines AND the weld holding everything together.

Sounds like a lot of work and a lot if maybes lol.

I'd try it myself, but I'm not exactly right in the head either LOL

From what I’ve seen, the US gear overdrive box is super strong. A lot like a brownie. Just shifted electronically with a toggle. If I could make it work, that’d be pretty sick to split gears. I hate the price but that’s about what they run usually.
Someone is about to throw sticks at me, but my dually had a gear vendor and a C6 when I first got it. I really didn't like the GV, some times if you were slowing down and it was in od the whole truck would start this shimmy shake that was crazy. And yeah you can split gears but you're not pulling a 53ft trailer that weights 50,000lbs. But HEY, that's all opinion stuff..... you be you, and I won't criticize!

If you have the money I would get it. try to make it work, if it doesnt work you can always resell it for what you bought it for. I dont see them going down in price anytime soon.

I want an auxiliary transmission, but I might not really NEED one once I get the turbo on. There's times now I'd love 4.56 gears, and other times I wish I had double overdrive. An auxiliary transmission with under drive and overdrive would fit the bill perfectly.

@Laine D if you really are leaning towards it there are other options such as a Spicer 5831 or the like, just in case you didn't know. They are made to be run divorced too. I'm not really sure of the exact details but there's another rabbit hole for you to get lost in.....

I was thinking bolt it on the back of his transmission and then getting a NP205.

Naturally. At least the International versions were already remotely mounted with a short driveshaft between the engine and transmission. That's what I've seen in the past.

I’m sorry guys. I haven’t touched my truck. Trying to get a bunch or stuff out of the yard behind the shop. I did put a new gauge cluster in the ranger with a tach and put a muffler on it. Next weekend I’m going to start running all the lines and electrical and bolt on my turnover ball.

Well I did something. While I’m waiting for some crap to come in for the truck I decided I’d make a seat frame instead of using the 8 holes that these required. Plus the brackets are all bent from the crash. This will obviously be way stronger and it’ll fit the cab better.

I’m very happy with how my seat pan/frame came out. Way beefier than any of the stock crap and uses the factory holes. Installed-ish my carpet. The interior on this is turning out exactly how I wanted it. Not sure how you guys feel but the black and blue is really cool to me.

I want to try something for the headliner. I see people use cowhide, I will not be doing that. But it’s still cool. I was thinking more of a pattern of some sort. Maybe a California flag to make everyone mad

I like the seat frame! Interesting idea to use a flag as a headliner... I don't think I've seen that yet. Cowhide would get expensive fast...

Can't wait for finished pics of the interior. That's gonna be great!

Btw nice amp...

Thanks my friend. I have 2 shallow mount 10’s that are gonna go under the rear seat and a set of 4 6.5 component speakers for the doors and rear panels. I’m very excited to have it finished LOL
