A reman TECA for an E4OD is around $100 and it swaps out,in just 10 mins. What done is done though.Crazy fools around here you know; if it doesn't have a ZF5 trans and a front D60 then it's not a truck.:D (just teasing guys lol)

Well things will become more clear once you get an EGT and boost gauge. No point in doing anything until you adjust the pump accordingly, both with fuel & timing.

Oh and to answer your other questions. Yes to the 11,800. Hard to hold 55-60 on the flattest parts. 30-35 in 3rd on the big hill with ideal to the floor and then overheated due to the fan clutch which I'll replace.

Truck doesn't smoke even when it's working hard sobidk if that's good or not?

I used gearing calculators that indicated 4.10's with 35's would be same as my stock tires with 3.55. But yeah I guess. Not quite.....

If you guys really think gears will liven things up I'm down to try it.

Yeah ok.Nope something is way wrong.Even N/A the truck should cruise fairly easily at 65-85 MPH @ 12k combined gross on flat ground.Even with those big tires.40-45 MPH if not faster, uphill.Depending on the grad % of course.
With a turbo,that should pull a grade at 50-55MPH or faster @ 12k gross,no problem.
Probably you'll get a boost gauge and see either you have no boost (indicating a leak) or just so low on fuel, that she couldn't boost if she tried.Fear not, somethings way off.

Got a 093 turboed F-350 zf5 with 3:55 gears and 285/75/16 tires and ive used it to haul both my 06 F-150 and my 08 expedition. No problem getting up to 65 plus mph. I'd agree you definitely have something going on.

Well once I get the guages hooked up I'll know something I guess. I can hear the turbo but I guess that doesn't necessarily mean there's boost?
Maybe it's really low on fuel and I need to tweak the pump. I might need to break down and have a diesel shop look it over.
I'm gonna hold off on buying gears and see if we can get this motor sorted out. I might even post a video for you guys

just throwing this out there, is the speedo off MPH? I know you posted the gear you were in but with taller tires and 3.55s you might be going faster.

Are you SURE ....ABSOLUTELY SURE....you have 4.10 not 3.55

Have you checked the gearing visually????

I thought mine was 4.10 and it was 3.55

Just sayin

Rear axle tag is d5 limited slip dually axle with 4.10 gears. I know the front is because I installed it. If I put her in 4 low I guess I'd know 100% real quick!

If it's a '94 rear DRW (pickup) axle,I can assure you,it's 4.10.

Those are the only ratio offered in the DRW pickup's in the 9th gen era.You could get 3.55 in the F350 cab and chassis of the 8th and 9th gen era.
3.55 of the 8th gen era in the SRW,DRW and cab and chassis but for whatever reason ford didn't offer anything but the 4.10 ratio in DRW pickups in the 9th gen trucks. If you see a '92-'97 dually with a pickup bed on it,it sports 4.10's.
Many salvage yards may claim to have them but when pressed to inspect them, you'll never find one.I know lol.I had to get a 3.55 DRW pickup axle from a 8th gen truck for chip truck when I converted it.There's only a few years there where they come with the VSS/ABS sensor/tone ring too.

Of course, that's just some added info.Al is still correct in that it's not impossible that someone still couldn't of swapped a R&P in the rear too.You really never know until you pull the cover to look and or spin a wheel and count rotations of drive shaft and wheels........however,the odds are gunna be some high, she's got 4.10's out back.

Edit; OR,yes.Lock the hubs in and take her out on a patch of dirt. You'll know if there are 4.10's up front/3.55 out back easy enough that way too lol.
Better yet out on snow. The rear will want to come around and be the front on ya.:D

Yeah it's a '92. I used to think it was a 94 but I have not found a way to update the title. Originally it was a 1987 2wd dually with a c6 and that's the rear end I have. So might be worth checking that out. I'm gonna put it in 4wd right now
