The gauge pod is held to the windshield with 3m "dual lock adhesive"
this link is to the stuff. I didnt buy a roll, I bought small pieces, but same thing. I believe there are 6x 1'' by 2'' pieces holding the pod on.

the best part is it allows it to be removable, I wouldn't suggest pulling it off often, unless you want to replace the velcro often. I do believe I had to use a epoxy, or glue to help it adhere to the windshield but I could be wrong. (I tried many ways to get it to stick to the pod and windshield and I dont remember everything exactly.)

I have to be honest I'm very impressed by Autometer. Not only did they send me out the correct sender for my fuel pressure gauge no questions asked, but they just replaced my pyrometer free of charge...................that has been 2yrs out of warranty!!! I wasn't expecting that at all when the tech line told me to send mine out to be repaired. I'm definitely a happy camper and will continue to use their products!

So I haven't posted in a while due to all the busyness that comes with spring. But I have managed to get my exhaust rerouted to clear my mud flaps. Now if only I could find my mud flaps themselvs, ugh. Also this week I've been working on getting my ac up and working again since the engine swap. The new pump, dryer, and orifice tube are finally installed and the system has been flushed and new pag oil added in. And tonight the big part, I vaced it down and it held! Gonna let it hold a little yet before I add freon to it again. But it will be so awesome to have air conditioning for the trip to the rally!

post your vent temps. i still want to get colder air. i have an 06 gm 1500 and a customers 03 dodge 2500 and both have awesome a/c.
I'll have to get a thermometer for that first, haha! The good news is I got her charge up tonight! It is deffinately colder than it was before. I'm assuming because I went from the blue R12 orifice tube to the red R134a orifice tube.

Being careful not to hijack the thread, One thing I just did on the excursion. I bough a can of ac coil cleaner at home depot, saturated the evaporator and condenser with it, let it sit for 10 min and rinsed it off. It made a big difference in vent temps. Though I didn't measure them. Just something to think about if your condenser or evap is really old.
End hijack.

So a little update, last week I was able to helicoil my injection pump cover and get my bull moose reinstalled. I also replaced the plastic tees I had in my return line system with some brass tees since the plastic ones were leaking. And finally no more fuel leaks, woohoo!!!

That being said I'm still battling the Fass pump loosing prime under 1/2 tank. Thats still a project on the list before the rally. I did install a clear hose on the pump inlet and confirmed it isn't sucking air while running, but it is siphoning all the fuel back to the tank immediately when I turn the ignition off. Still need to figure this one out. Tonight I finished up the A/C. Turns out my evaporator was blocked some so I cleaned that up and reinstalled it. The A/C works great now!

That's all the updates I have for now. I still have tons of odds and ends to button up before the rally and it's only 2wks away!

Yeah that had a lot of dirt in it.

I would think if the fuel is draining back then there must be an air leak. The amount of force the fuel has to pull back must be sucking air.

Yeah, the only odd thing is its not a slow leak back to the tank. It will drain it all back in about 2 seconds. The one thing I want to do yet is drop the tank and lengthen the return tube. I didn't do it originally cause I didn't think it was necessary, but now it's the only possible idea I have.

that kinda makes sense. i guess if its not in the fuel or getting air it can drain back.

have you put clear hose on any other lines?
