The older and more independent I get the more I just want to go buy a couple acres that backs up to blm land and not have to screw with anybody anymore.
The good news is that you can use it as a hideout after you rob a bank in order to buy that much land in California. Other than that, I sounds like a great plan. A guy I used to ride dirt bikes and ATVs with used to say that he wanted to buy an entire section (640 acres, 1 square mile out here in the flat lands) and build a house right in the middle of it. I can see the appeal in that. You actually sound like you may enjoy the rural life where I live. With only one stop light in each county. They are at the intersection of two highways and in the county seat, which happens to be the biggest town in the county, usually less than 3000 people.

The middle of nowhere sounds pretty great. What sucks is that I absolutely adore California and I don’t want to leave. If I can somehow make enough money to stay here and enjoy it I’d do it LOL

Yesterday I drove a few hours into PA to pick up a loader for my 8n. It's pretty worse for wear, but the price was right and gave me an excuse to visit a few of my friends down there.

Hauling up a 7% grade and had to slow down for a line of Porsches and Corvettes. What are the odds LOL Not a good picture, sorry.

I love this gantry. Saved my bacon a couple times.

Word of caution though, when you lift a loader frame with a broken hose, and it compresses the lift cylinders, it's going to make a mess all over everything. Whoops!

Boy that sure looks like it's been sitting for a while. I do have to admit that I haven't seen many 8/9N tractors with loaders. Maybe one. I'm sure that there would have been more if it wasn't for those not having live PTOs.

That and the front axle isn't very strong. It beats a shovel by hand though, even if you have to go easy on it.

First thing I plan to do is plug all the ports and remove the rotten hoses. It's going to sit for a while longer so I want to keep the water out of it in the meantime.

it sure did lol, I picked it up at auction about 10 years ago with big plans and it just sort of sat around out back. It had sat around the place I got it from for who knows how long before me. Now that I have a loader backhoe tractor it was time for this one to move on. good luck Chris!

It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to get on the forum, but I’m attempting something that is very much post worthy in my opinion

Fixed the LED backup bulb in the driver's side taillight today.

I have covid. But felt good enough to try to do that.

Got it changed but the weakness, difficulty breathing, pains, etc, forced me to stop before I even got the screws back in the light housing. LOL

I'll finish that up tomorrow.

If you are having difficulty breathing don't put off a visit to a doc, my mom pushed things to far with Covid. We said our final earthly goodbye a couple weeks ago.

Dang Jared, I’m sorry for your loss. Between you and Chris and Alex’s dad that is two people close to home. Safe travels and will see you guys later this week.

In case you didn't see it, apparently Jason caught it too, so he won't be going. I don't know if you're on the Facebook group or not.
