The rig had its first real job today! My friend owns a junkyard and i used the liftgate to bring in 2400 pounds of copper. First time putting that weight in truck since i bought i rescued her from a field a month or two ago. I also added a lil artwork for fun.

My pyro probe adapter arrived today, fits perfectly so I was able to finish the gauges. Still dead in the water with this intercooler though. I've been waiting over a year on these parts and I still don't have everything. All I can do now is try to patch the rest of it together the best I can. The hot pipe coming off the turbo is way too long. I'm going to grab a cheap set of pliers at Harbor Freight this weekend and try to modify the jaws into a crimper so I can crimp a bead on the end after cutting it off. No idea how I'm going to do the intake tube or CDR yet. I'm beyond frustrated right now with this whole transaction and I just need my damn truck back, even if I have to buy or pay someone else to fabricate this stuff a second time.

I learned that one clear back in 1992. The winter of 92/93 was a very wet one around here. There was a girl (there always is, right?) who used to complain that my truck was always dirty and I should wash it. I told her that since I work on a farm, drive 1 1/2 miles down a gravel road in a white truck to get to work, and work 6 days a week, I could wash it on Saturday night and Monday morning it would look exactly the same. She understood why I only washed it once a month or so after I told her that.

Sadly the amount of sand they use here is just ridiculous. I havent seen many trucks without a crooked bed, shot rockers, or rusted fenders. I'm trying to keep this thing from the ground. Can only do so much to keep it nice.

The guy who bought it, runs a sawmill and does some logging, so he is going to use it to tow a gooseneck loaded with logs. I am glad it is going to someone who will use it, and we are both happy, so it turned out good. He will be coming to pick it up in a week or so, whenever the weather gets better. I am gonna miss the truck, but I am looking forward to getting a CC dually in the near future :peelout.

I also picked up some group 65s from walmart and a solenoid for my fuse block, both went in the f250 and she fired right up:Thumbs Up

Being that my tailgate is not the original, I painted it flat black just to match a little better than the red it was. While I was as it, I welded on a 1/2" plate for the trailer safety chains, to replace the rube goldburg setup that was there( two pieces of bent 3/8" round stock that looked like two candy canes sticking out of the hitch-cuss). I then painted the hitch and receiver the same flat black (it was on sale) lol

Well, technically this isn’t truck related, but it’s a diesel, and I used my truck to pick it up, so I’m going to post about itLOL yesterday I got a 90’s Ford 4230 tractor. It’s a non turbo, but man it has a lot of power! And a 12 spd trannyLOL
