That’s an adorable little starter. What turbo you going with?
gonna use the turbo that came with it for now, upgrade later.

its a high torque 6.0 starter.

no the block does not hit the gear box, what youre seeing in that picture is the pitman arm. hence the castle nut :D

I’ve got a billet wheel that may go on that turbo if you can confirm the serial number. Got it for my dt but it being a late 99 has the newer style turbo and isn’t compatible

IDIoit, am I seeing that right? Did you fit the DT466 into a sort-of-stock IDI engine compartment? It's not sticking out through the front of the radiator support or back into the cab, is it? I suppose the extra weight on the front would rule out mounting a plow, but that's a small price to pay.

Oops. 01 Superduty. Oh, well, my wishful thinking got the better of me. I have a 97 Powersmoke that conversion might make sense in, if it fit. Maybe the DT366?
dt360 fits perfectly. many here have done it with the OBS.

That’s an interesting mount, does the stud go all the way through the frame rail?

I think it is just temporary to hold the engine in position so he can build a proper cross member and motor mounts. It looks like the stud just sits on the frame from the picture. Almost looks like he could twist the studs to get the sides to go up and down to get her level.

youre exactly correct.
it was sitting on a 4x4 that was restong on the front leaf springs.
now i can do a proper x member without anything in my way.

the valve cover does clear, without the rocker assembly, thinking im gonna drop it down another inch or so to give me more clearance.

not really starting on this yet, just had a couple of hours to F with it, and now a x member is next.
i have factory isolators that you can se are sitting on the cowl.

soon as this damn chevys out of my shop, its game on
