If you're looking for a truck that's cheap to maintain, reliable and doesn't require monthly payments, its value is priceless. But don't tell your friend that. 
Lots of variables. Location, mileage, rust situation, transmission? The fact it's a standard cab hurts value a little but as was mentioned, it's worth what you are willing to pay for it. Knowing the history (if that's the case) is a plus. Clean trucks in Cali might fetch a couple grand because they can be had. A clean truck in the rust belt maybe 4-5k to the right guy looking for one.

I'll post some more pictures when I get the truck in a week or two it is extremely nice and has been very well taken care of. I did have a 94 ranger but I sold it to get this truck very excited about the change too.

The main issue with the 4x4 is the front axle. Age, mileage and use create a death wobble at speed that is time consuming, possibly expensive, to fix. Everything else is EZ.
If thiz is indeed the truck it looks solid however one image does not an opinion make.
Things like maintanence and zo for say lots.
Does not look ratty nor over worked with big lift and large tyres.
How many miles? What trans? Is it NA? AC?
