i get to the bottom of the box and there is #8 no caps carbon on the tip the treads are all messed up and the inlet looks like someone it it with a hammer
this one is completely unusable
i emailed uhaul customer service
should i e-mail this frank guy as well?
does any one have his e-mail?
thanx

As per my post on page 26 (post #377):
Yep, I actually called the number they supply to report missing or lost items. The number I called was 1-866-277-6855. But there is also another number on my sales slip for my Injection Pump to contact customer service, 1-800-269-6737.

I'm not sure why they emailed me actually as they were supposed to call my home. cookoo

The address that I received that email from was: [email protected]

It seems he is the sales manager for the website. I would give the phone numbers a try before shooting an email myself though. Shocking to get someone on the phone right off the bat these days rather than weaving through 10 minutes of automated phone garbage. Good luck guys!

Lost count on how many keep asking for that information after that post. LOL Although we are up to 34 pages now...

I got my reman IP today. Packaged nicely and immaculate. Reman by International Fuel Systems (IFS). Does anyone have any knowledge of this company?? Their website seems like it could be a quality company. I guess time will tell. I still need to order glow plugs and injectors to do at the same time.

I got 5 pumps in plastic, but haven't out on on yet. Someone else said they out one on and it pulled to 3400, I forget who though. I got all my stuff from uhaul now, very happy with packing shipping, condition of stuff etc. The last package came today, Frank had 100 Bosch glow plugs shipped to him from Canada, and then he shipped them to me. That makes me 100% now. Dropped a lot of cash on 5 IP's, 100 glow plugs, 3 tach sensors, 5 glow plug relays, and 4 sets of injectors complete, but it will save me much more then what I spent on future repairs. All who gets a pump when installed let us know what they rev to, if they are low depending on the driver of the truck I may have to have mine worked over before I install. I have one driver though I'd like to govern down to about 2000 rpm, the SOB breaks everything.

What is the FIPL acronym?

Fuel Injection Pump Lever, so technically speaking the thing being adjusted should be referred to as a "FIPL sensor" or something, not just "FIPL", but whatever - I just call it TPS, cause that's just what it is, wouldn't even be surprised it if it's the same as the ones used on some gassers...

I forget where, but I think I read somebody say that adding new injectors to an old pump will probably leave you on the side of the road??

My truck is old but working I think. I have had an injector knock a couple times in the past and filled the filter with atf and it went away. A little noisy when cold but the truck seems to run great all the way to the top when warm.

But it wouldn't surprise me if the ip was never touched at 230,000 miles. The injectors as well.

I purchased the uhaul injectors and got 8 nice ones, but am I making a mistake by installing these on my old pump???'

thanks!

i just finished setting the timing and the fipl.
will get back to you shortly after dinner;Sweet
Calvin, I road-tested mine today, if I hold the gears manually (e4od) she pulls good to 3700-3800 in both 1st and 2nd, didn't try in 3rd cause that puts my road speed at numbers that were seriously over what I'd consider safe for the road conditions.

Great minds think alike :D And so do lazy ones, lol

Got 2 uhaul IP's and 8 injectors, IFS and Diesel logic showd up both looked nice, coin flip,IFS won. Installed it today. It took for ever to get primed, started getting worried, but it did.Timed by ear. Did a 50 mile test run/ adjustments on the road,Felt lucky went to the indian casino in Jackson (didnt win nothing). Seems to be working fine alot less smoke.. Couldn't tell you the max rpm was, tach kinda doesn't work rite.
