No this is not a "how big a tire can I run without a lift?" Post. Those irritate me. I actually have the opposite question. How small a tire can I run and not have my truck look girly?

Kicking around tire and wheel options. Truck has 285 75 16's on stock steelies right now. That's about a 33" tire. They are about half wore out and I don't know how old they are but they are not weather cracked. Fronts were abused by the ttb. I'm thinking new tires for piece of mind for the rally trip. Wheels would be a bonus. The damn thing is really tall.

Tire rack wants to sell me a 245 75 16. That's ~30.5". Factory 235 85 16 gives ~32".

Discount tire wants to sell me a 265 75 16. That's 31.6" there about. Really close to factory height.

I don't want to go too small because it will look funny but the wife would be real happy if she sat a couple inches lower. So my upper bound I think is a 265 75 16. Will the 245 be too puny? Narrower tires seem to drive a little worse but I'm not sure that it would be all that noticeable in the drivers seat.

What say the masses? If you have a f350 on 245's please post a pic.

Good wheel.

I do 235/85/16. Good height and width. I've ran them for years. Run a 10 ply load E. Dont think about lighter tires. These trucks are heavy. Load range D get squirmy.

Right. You are ttb front right? So I'm about 2" higher in the front with the d60.

I like the wheel. it would look good and match your theme if they were a gloss black. not matte black, I like that only on some trucks.

I considered black. Black wheels kinda offend me on principle. Besides, don't want too much black. I also prefer white letters out. Guess I'm strange that way.

well this is a 305/70-16 on around 6 inches of lift so really I think a 265 would be fine.i would honestly stick with a 285 though cause it just looks way better but that's just my opinion

The 245/75/16 is puny. I have them on my Chevy and they look too small. I think I have a pic of them, I will see if I can find it if you want.

You don't want smaller than stock, for sure. 265/75/16 is another option, within about 0.1" of stock. For entry, just get a set of running boards or steps.

Honestly I've never hardly noticed a difference in the height in tires as gettin in the truck goes.ive had 235,265's,285's and 315's on my bullnose and until I d60 swapped it I never noticed a difference from 265-285's. 315's with the d60 is taller but not much taller then a stock f350 in all honesty.now other people may have different experiences but those are mine.
