Oh boy, that sounds like an expensive trans swap.

Hope dad is okay and all and has feeling yet.
Yup, that's one way to put it:frustrate. He is doing alright, just having to take 3 weeks off work now. I feel real bad about the whole thing, but it is what it is. I will never buy a harbor freight jack or hoist again, could've been much worse. Thank you for the concern.

For me, there was a lot of different things that added up to a really good day for me.First, I've been thinking that the front of the Blue Truck is kind of plain so I decided to spruce it up some by making use of some scrap at work. Then, my boss left for the day at about 11:00 this morning. It was also payday (always a good thing). After work, I decided to make a Wal-Mart run to get some supplies for this weekend's Colorado ATV riding trip. After going about 30 miles, I pulled into a gas station to fill the tank. When I went inside to get a drink, I realized that the gal behind the counter was actually someone that I know. She and one of her sisters used to be friends with a couple of the girls that lived across the street from me years back. They all used to come over to ride three and four wheelers about 10-12 years ago. We talked for probably 15 minutes after I had paid. It was nice to see her again even though she is still VERY chatty. In Wal-Mart, I saw another woman that I know from way back. I've known her for almost 19 years. I wanted to date her, but I didn't for personal reasons. I got to see her 9 year old son and meet her boyfriend (fiance?). They seem to be pretty happy and he seems like a pretty good guy so I'm happy for them both. We all talked for a while. The only (almost) downer to the day was on the way home. It was getting a little bit chilly in the truck so I decided to use the heater for the first time this year. No matter how much I turned up the temperature control, I couldn't feel any heat coming out the vents. NOT good for a trip to the mountains tomorrow night. It didn't take me long to realize "hey dumb (donkey) you didn't open the water shut off valve to the heater core. I shut the heat back off and drove about 5 miles into the next town and opened up the hot water valve. It worked just fine for the rest of the 15 miles home. So the biggest downer wasn't really even all that bad. I'd take a whole lot more days like today was.

I would have had one made if I had thought of it earlier. I wanted it to while going through Denver, but two days isn't enough notice to get one made. Now that point's moot since the flat tire on the four wheeler said that I'm staying home.

I wanted to get rid of the junk Ironman tires on the back of the Blur Truck. I'm fed up with that brand and will not be buying them again. I have a pair of Yokahoma GO15's on the front but I buy tires from TireBuyer.com and they didn't have then in stock so I ordered a pair of GO56's in stead. They are "highway" tires instead of "all terrain" tires. There really doesn't appear to be a lot of difference in the two tread patterns and at this point, I was just tired of the old tires. Funny how when they ship tires to me from Lincoln, NE, I have them in 3 business days and they come in on UPS, bur when they are shipped out of Carrollton, TX, they come in on Fed Ex and I haven't gotten them yet. I ordered the last Friday. Anyway, I stole a pair that I had sitting in the garage to go on the Ex Wife and put them on the Blue Truck. Lately, I have been noticing a vibration coming from the back of the truck. A couple of weeks back, I check and neither tire was out of round. It sure made a HUGE difference when I put the new tires on the back though. Either something happened to the Equal Flexx in the old tires, or something happened to the tires themselves. There's still enough tread left on the old tires to last for years on my pickup bed trailer so on they'll go, Flexx and all. This time, I used Dyna Beads instead of the Flexx. Now it's on to wearing them out.

Moving panel by panel repainting. This was the most tedious job so far on the truck.. lots of masking with the different colors and a bunch of dents on the door. Spraying outside so I have to pick out whatever bugs decide to land in it.. Hope everyone is having a nice weekend! Replaced the door hinge pins but turns out the hinges themselves are worn.

Well Diego did a wonderful job on the 800 mile round trip to pick up another Ford IDI.

Diego is no 350 Dually, but man it didn't miss a beat!

Now I have something to move stuff around here without breaking my back! Hopefully I can finish the other tractor project and sell it off to recoup some funds.

It sounds like there's going to be an IDI running at the coast tomorrow so it won't be a total loss even if there's no fish biting.

Looks great! What primer, paint and gun type do you use?
