Making mine a crew cab long bed dually 4x4 I definitely feel like a land yact sometimes.
As for idibobs, I wouldn't have minded it if he wasn't so condescending about doing any type of mods to improve our trucks. Ain't no way Ford's engineering was the absolute best. Especially when the engine was made by Navistar... Half the fun here is learning what each other has done for funsies, for longevity, for basic-ness... I'll never run wmo in mine, but I got mad respect for @Jesus Freak, I bet he saves so much dosh by just tapping his fuel suction line into his oil pan, and just tops off his engine every few miles ;Poke
Well.., that's not EXACTLY how I do it, but it's close. I really do want to get a tindge more scientific about my WMO stuff. Before Never-have-i-ether left the forum he gave me a free centerfuge. It's not one of the super big expensive ones, its like the bace model but I should really invest some time to refine my product better. These engines are fascinating, and what's cute is the truck has metric bolts......the engine has SAE.......ahhhhh Ford.....the better idea.....lol

I wish he had stayed long enough to see the culture of this forum was not the same as other forums, where someone posts something and everyone says awful things and tears each other up.

I think most of us came here and stay here because we aren't interested in the negative nonsense that seems to be the norm of other forums.
I'm always open for another air intrusion thread! One member actually PMed me about a concern of having air intrusion on his lawn mower! I think he just didn't want to clog the forum up with another air intrusion thread.......lololol

And I even made my 3 wheeler thread D-E-I compliant by letting everyone know it doesn't matter how many tires you have or don't have. This is a very tolerant forum! Y'all even put up with ME!!!

This forum isn’t just an information library. It’s a community. That sets this place apart.
I attempted to join another forum for 3 wheelers........I decided to just start a 3 wheeler thread on the diesel truck forum if that doesn't speak volumes.

Sometimes when I'm looking for guitar tech information I land on guitar forums....... reading some of those......I'm not sure you could pay me to be involved in one of those....... remember, opinions are like noses, everybody has one and they all smell (that's the "G" rated version of course)....

Big Bart left in a huff because of another troll fussy person fussing with him and Never-have-i-ether hasn't logged in in forever, I think he lost interest because there's not too many alternative fuels guys on here.

I got kick off our local professional football team unaffiliated site that started because people wanted to talk about other things besides football. Well TDS took it over and I ( along with an abundance of High West Bourbon) told a few of them that seemed to always bully people with opposing views like a gang of ferrel dogs. So I went on a tirade against them. Unkind words were written and they canceled me. Their site they started to speak freely did not like other speech. I say all that to say, I really like this site much better. Much classier group of people here

I did three "FUN" jobs over the weekend.

The 38 gallon tank conversion (& fast fill mod), I really thought everyone was being extra about taking the bed off the truck to do this job. Never have I been more wrong... I think someone used 3/4" gravel as skid plate padding because the rock and debris shower I took and then rolled around in for hours in the heat has my back and shoulders feeling great... I also didn't get the sender arm 100% correct and empty reads just under a quarter tank. I don't know if I have the will power to fix it or not. I have not filled the tank yet but I live by the saying "Don't let perfection become the enemy of good enough".

I replaced my drivers side door with a junkyard 86 F150 door. Not going to lie, I am a sucker for random mismatched truck door colors, but will need to figure out paint sometime down the line. (Not sure if I posted it already I started last weekend and finished this weekend)

I also installed the rest of an AC system. This was a nightmare job as well, due to the fact, I have the extra wide radiator and finding a condenser that would kinda fit from the random piles of condensers I had accumulated for this job took some bending. I was going to just cut the tubing and flare extensions but I got one to fit. (No photos sorry).

empty reads just under a quarter tank.
If I read this right, and you still have 1/4 tank, when the gauge shows empty, I'd just run it by the gauge. That way you'll never run out of fuel. My Bronco would read empty at about 1/2 tank. I filled up when it read empty and I never had to worry about running out of fuel. Plus I knew that I could push it farther if I REALLY had to. I look at it as cheap insurance.
