So confused, and a bit colorblind...

Ok, does anyone out there know what shade of red the interior of our trucks came with? I have an 86, with the red interior, and cannot, for the life of me, find a close color chip. Thought it was canyon red, but thats a bit dark, (after buying three cans). LVP offers a "dark red" through LMC truck (37-8384), but the chip looks a bit closer to canyon. Or again, maybe I'm colorblind...

Yes, the paint is for Mustangs, but they have several shades of red. I found a shade of blue that was very close to the blue in my OBS cab.

You can also have interior paint mixed and matched at some paint stores, and put into a spray can.

i used SEM product when i painted my interior. i used fire thorn red i believe was the color. its a brighter shade red but i really like it.

Duplicolor Fusion paint for plastic. I think it is like maroon, maybe I can find can. Matched mine PERFECT!!

Don't forget, in 33 years of sunlight exposure, the color in your truck has probably faded a bit (and not evenly, either)...

Few yr ago my dash cracked up by windshield defrost vent. I patched it, then went to WallyWorld & found their plastic spray can Tan something paint. Painted it & it matched. Been about 12-14 yr & it still works.
Last yr I replaced the Dr side uprite section by the door. Painted it with their paint again & I like it.

I got my red exact match from Autozone, brand was duplicolor. Gauge pod is a perfect match

The obs trucks aren’t as bad, but I’ve had issues trying to match faded red brick interior

Just re-painted a bunch of faded interior parts for 1980 Bull. It's dark red. Here's what I used.
