As much as I love pry bars and hammers, I think you would be wise to head over to the hardware and get a couple nuts, lock them against each other at the top of the studs, and put a torch to the studs and a breaker bar on the nuts and turn them out. That or risk cracking the casting on your turbo and killing any chance of resale.

put 2 nuts on the stud.tighten them against each other. then use the first nut on to try to remove the stud. penetrating oil and heat always help.

...you can lead a horse to water....

Thanks. I had a hard enough time getting the bolts off. Don't think there going back on.

The only real reason i want to lift the body is to create better spacing between the firewall and the down pipe aswell as the turbocharger.

------------

Oh and body lifts look like Crap.

Don't get Your G-String in a Knot :rotflmao:rotflmao:rotflmao:rotflmao

stacks and bodylifts FTW

:rotflmao:puke:

even beating it with a hammer IMO is better than running a body lift.

but hay, whatever keeps your ****** clean ;Sweet

If he had a body lift he would actually have room to take the turbo off!!!!!! It would be off by now!!!!

:rolleyes:LOL:rotflmao;Sweet bahahah couple natural born Einstein's right there.

....still :rotflmao

I'm not sure but the picture looks like you are trying to get the up pipe and turbo separated. If so what i did was removed the two oil drain pedestal to turbo bolts (they were studs also and nuts were locked on so the studs screwed out), crossover pipe, and y adapter on the right manifold. Then You need to remove downpipe v band clamp if equipped,( mine is a 3'' slip fit down pipe) and pull turbo and up pipe out of truck together. Mine is a ats 093.

Dude just stop. You look foolish.

I know the right thing is to just ignore. But you've got about 5 completely unnecessary posts in the last 7 on this thread alone. Plus this one now. How old are you?

Here's what I'm talking about....
My turbo is bolted to up pipe pedestal with 4 Bolts I have removed all 4 bolts
I've also remove the down pipe bracket bolt. The Turbo assembly moves up down and side to side just a little bit just can't get it off the 4 Bolt Lugs. I tried prying with a PryBar but no luck.

I know I can get it off but Man this thing is a Bear!

Actually, even just new body mounts. But that's not the problem.
Keep spraying pb and see if you can hit the studs with a brush.

Update......

Got the Top Lugs cut so it's almost off but now in fighting with the bottom Lugs if they where just a Little
Shorter I could slide the Turbo off the pedestal. So back to the Drawing board.

Don't really want to lift the cab but might have to resort to that

Man you guys that can pull these in a Day are Freaking Awsome!!
