Alright: Ive been driving my '89 F-250 w a 5 speed to my other job. Sometimes its 52 miles away.

Ive noticed that when I get above 2200 rpms the engine surges, but not at 2100 and under.......and when I let off the accelerator I see some blue smoke coming from the exhaust for about 5 seconds.
One thing that Ive noticed also is that at idle, the engine will sometimes shake and "missfire" , but when the rpms gpo up the problem goes away...
Heres the funny part: going up hill or slightly accelerating the surging goes away. Ive got a new lift pump installed and I change the fuel filter along with the oilfilter...... I took a friends advice and "drove it like I stole it". That improved performance somewhat.....Me thinks the injectors are thinking of taking a powder real soon............. Thoughts:::
