I turned the key and nothing happens. No light no glow plug light. I can jump it at the starter solenoid then a minute later everything comes on. I replaced the the ignition switch which fell apart when I got it out. Same thing.

Take the battery cables loose, and then go over to the solenoid and take all the wires off the large stud that goes to the battery +. Take them all off , check them for corrosion and bad connections, and then after repairing any problems, put them back on. This is where all the power for the truck comes from.

Make sure the terminals on your batteries and your cables are clean. I've got the old factory style and sometimes they have bad contact or something another.. Taking them loose and cleaning and then tapping back on with the end of a wrench usually does the trick.

Don't know what the deal is. It decided to work this morning.
Guess I'll wait till it leaves me stranded again.

Ok missing some basic info in yer sig...

Std or Auto.

When you replaced the IGNITION actuator...key ...uou likely did NOT replace the Ignition switch.

The actual switch is down lower on the column actuated by a rod from the key actuator...one day I will get the real terms...lol

Could need adjust the electrical switch's position to compensate for wear.

Could be that if an auto N safety switch needs alignment due to wear

Coild be if std that N safety switch may be causing issuez.

You explain no power and to me that is the Ign switch down lower on column....
