Finbally got the donor truck home. Windy adn rainy, Bad traffic. the 7.3 pulled like a champ. Unfortunatley I am stuck in my back yard till it dries out a little . Cant make it up the hill without destrotying my yard.

It is a centurion conversion. Was the top of the line in its day. Now its just a parts truck.

Now i keep hearing the guy from trick my truck.. " LETS TEAR DOWN!"

x2 on the flat towing. i think he is using it for a 4x4 transplant or zf5 swap. i guess these guys don't care about drivetrain components. it would be real bummer to tow a donor like that and then get the swap done only to find out you trashed the driveline towing it.

I love the color scheme, but then I again I'm a sucker for most things 80's or look dated. In regards to the flat towing, I think it comes down to you gotta do what you gotta do. I looked for a long time for a trailer to tow my rig home with only to come up empty handed (to rent, not buy). I wasn't going to pay for a tow 30+ miles. Just ended up driving it home with no brakes!

The one I just towed had bad splines in the driveline but I just removed it and unlocked the hubs, followed right behind.

I removed the rear drvieshaft before towing. I have done this before.It wont fit on most trailer. its a donor becasue it is a gasser 460 and i hate the 460,the motor supposed to have a blown headgasket. I dont care to investigate, just sell it as a rebuilder. the title is lost, and there is some rust on thedrivers side fllor so i dont intend on fixing it. the interior is still that and most if it is in pretty good shape, if anyone needs any of of speak up quickly. it has red power bucket seats that i dont plan on using, they need some padding added, but seem to be decent for a possible upgrade. dash is mint perfect, but i cant use it eather, Mine is good too.

no I pulled the cc 4x4 with a cc 2wd. This 4x4 is the 4x4 doner so I wont have a 2wd anymore.

FWIW I wasnt referring to driveline issues although thats always a concern as well. IMO its just a unsafe way to tow. I would never do it.

But Im not prejudice. To each their own.
