I'm probly going to be running a single stack on my truck, gonna run daul 3" into a hearthrob Daul 3" to single 4" muffler and a single 4" or 5" stack to finish it off.. Anyway untill i can afford to buy the muffler and pay the exhaust guy to make me up a system and buy a new stack, I was thinking id plum the stack i have into my Y-pipe and see if i'll realy like driving it with the stack.. So lets see how you guys have plumed your stacks, and your stack pics. Becouse i'm unsure how i'll pulm it up, i want it at the corner of the bed not on the inside of the frame.. Do i put the elbow on the inside of the bed or run the pipe under the frame or ???

My truck had stacks when i first bought it but i removed them cause i was tired of cleaning the soot off the truck and the lost bed space (cant run stuff clear to the front of the bed and was always afraid of accidentally running stuff into the pipes)., also it seems like any plastic in a bed becomes attracted to those hot pipes. I dont have any pictures of the plumbing. If the pictures aren't showing let me know.

Ive got dual stacks on mine.my pipe runs in the stock location. and comes up through the bed.then I have a crossover pipe to bring the stacks out to the corners.I lost a whole whopping 6"of my bed

Ditto. I had stacks in 2 of my trucks. I learned my lesson. CONSTANTLY cleaning soot off of EVERYTHING and you do loose bed space(even if it is 6"0. I even had a chest box notched out to clear the stacks and act as a Guard.

No more stacks for me.

You'll probably have to run the pipe under the frame and just keep it tucked close, or you could try running the pipe between the bed and the frame, you might just have to run a 3" pipe to the stack and not a 4"

Now I know we could go back and forth about stacks all day, but I don't like stacks on a truck with a truck bed, they just look jacky.

Now on a truck with a flatbed or service body I think they look pretty good, but only if you run the between the bed and body.

And the comment about losing 6" at the front of the bed, that if a big deal for me, because the only reason I bought a long bed is so I could haul a 4x8 sheet of whatever and have the gate CLOSED.

I know it's not the end of the world, but that's just a pet peev of mine, why have a long bed if the gate will always be done.

Whenever I get the extra cash though I'm ditching it for a 4" exhaust in the stock location with a 5"/6" tip.

i drilled 1/8th in drain holes in all the low spots on my 250 and even if it was humid out it'd blow the condesation out of the pipes, a few cold starts and my white truck was grey. i took them off the '85 i just got and used one as the exhaust under it.

pic with stacks, then the exhaust with the turbo, it goes 3" downpipe, the 4" stack then a 2 foot pitce of 5"

I like things to stay in the bed. And drain holes dont fix $hit. the flex pipe will let it drain, but the inside of the pipe is all damp.

Not worth it for the "cool factor"
