If they are only charging $400 dollars it must be an easy fix. 
If the back half is the same as mated gv's and only the front "adapter" and shaft are different then it should be easy. I've had the adapter off before and I don't see how it could be 4 hours...maybe for total r&r but not the actual seal replacement.

Keep this in mind when you speak to GV...they are always happy to make $400 off a $5 part. BTW...ask for the p/n of the seal...they use common autmotive seals you can get locally.Agnem said:
