When they finished testing they should have left it full of test fluid and sealed all of the ports TIGHTLY with little plastic plugs that should have never been previously disturbed. Pump shops regularly rebuild ahead and keep an inventory on hand for exchange

That said, i think the shelf life on seals is about 10 years these days max.

Why would it have injector lines in it unless it is actually used? Seems like a pain to store that way.

prepowerstroke said the lines were on it as well as the housing, with no plugs.

from the description he gave i would say it it not a fresh, unrun rebuild. buy it as a core.

Exactly, any unsealed pump of personally unknown history should be considered nothing more than a rebuildable core. This is how a heavy truck parts wrecking yard would sell one. THis is why in the heavy duty used parts market, many wrecking yards will have names like " Core Exchange" because they dont ride on the myth that used parts will carry you along anywhere, they are simply sold to replace cores that are thrashed beyond repair to get things back into service( they will all warrant the units rebuildable, and many will offer resealing service for trannys and rears and sell those with a limited warranty , but thats about it)
Considering the amount of work involved in swapping a pump, I'd want to know for dang sure what I was getting and it better be priced right , or it''s time to keep shopping

Yeah man........... Give it sausage!
You must be registered for see images attach

Nothing satifies a cougar like a nice piece of sausage!

Anyway......

That pump metering valve will stick on you.......... I garenttee it. It happens when pumps are stored for a period of time. It may get better or it may not. My experience anyway.
