I would agree, stock for stock, the 5 speed is a nicer operating trans and a little tougher.

Haven't had the chance to drive something as new as the 6 speed equipped trucks. Here is a testament to the E40D, behind a 1200 hp Cummins.

5R110 is technically a 6 speed. It just only uses the sixth gear when extremely cold. Is a 3 speed trans with an overdrive. The new 6 speeds though seems just as tough, I saw one dyne when they threw everything they had at a 6.7, and the motor never gave out the the trans started to slip at the 800 rear hp level.
