Also decided to not fix any body/paint work and. Just going to do a nice clear coat. Kinda freeze it in time and show off her battle scars.

well now. i guess you can say things got a little serious-ish

things are cut away, and things are preped to get this clip on.
its just sitting there right now.
also notice, this is a different truck. this is a parts truck im gonna put together with this cab for now, and then cab swap the other truck once im ready.

front end is in place, square, at the correct wheel base, and ready to patch.

With a ride height like that you wouldn't be able to drive around here very much. Most towns have big enough dips at intersections or pot holes deep enough that the core support would drag.

im building it as if i were going to bag it.
altho i wont be bagging at this time.
it will be lifted about 4" from what you see here when im done

this ones for me.
i got into these trucks because of the no smog.
my initial intent was to gasser them, but i fell inlove with the idi.
its about time i build one!
i need to crack it open and check it out, but heres the powerplant.
im sure you can guess what it is Carl. lol

I'm not Carl, but my first guess would be: boat anchor?:joker: I really don't have anything against gas engines. I just feel that a diesel is better in a bigger truck.
