easiest method to blocking off hole in the back of the intake.

working on my 7.3 on the run stand.
turbo is planned for the future.
has CDR on the VC
i want to fire this thing up without the turbo at first.

is there an easy method youve used to block off the hole in the back of the intake temporarily?

I would make a plate and use an o ring and bolt it with the two bolts that ate CDR uses. I welded mine when it was apart.

thats the method ill be using, with 1/4" aluminum if someone does not have an easier way

Plumbing section hardware store , threaded rubber plug like a bilge plug.

naw Al, im not tryin to fab shat up for something im gonna use for an hour.
dont really need it honestly, but i dont like unfilterd air down the intake

If you are referring to that hole behind the intake air horn remember it has a slight suction on it. Duct tape will work fine fo that. If you are talking bout the hole in the valley pan well every valley pan gasket comes with a metal plug made just for that hole. Think I covered that well.

im not worried about the valley pan, its just crank case pressure neways.
i just didnt want the hole in the back of the air horn exposed. i have a bilge plug in it.
just as easy as dukt tape without the stickiness

I was gonna suggest a coffee thermos, use the plug out of that, there about one inch in diameter.
