Well the jokes have been fun, but I finally have an end to the saga, my old man built me a custom center console out of hard oak, stained, and has a lid to boot. It sits perfectly between the two seats and rests on the bars the seats are bolted to so it doesn't slide around.

It's..., well....okaaayyy. when you're vacationing in Florida, bring it with you and I'll run a router around it and soften up the edges. It does look VERY "Centurian" custom truck though. Tell your dad "Great job"......needs a router though......and a clip board clamp on the top......

I'll let him know. He used a hand wood file to soften the edges. Took him a day to make it, and the entire time he was cursing wishing he had his old highscool woodshop equipment.

I like it, functional and gives this ol girl more personality.

End the saga?
Are you crazy!! :p We can’t end this thread, let it hibernate and fester and grow and become!!! Cup holders are ever changing.

Just like these new fandangled vehicles themselves, forever getting bigger. In 1987 I could reach nearly half way across the bed of a 3/4 ton at 6’4.5”.

Now my nose rubs the bedrails and I can hardly count the empties that have been thrown back there!!

You'll only be able to drink "frappechino" from Starbucks with double shots of whatever they do if you have such a cupholder! A cupholder that marvelous will eject convenience store coffee and get your instrument cluster sticky!
