Based on the current state of both companies is there a better choice or maybe a less risky choice?
I've also had great luck with NAPA steering gears so by no means am I dead set on a Blue/Red top product.

I don't know how much truth there is to it, but I heard there was some sort of dispute with the techs from red top and the owner, and they all left to go make blue top instead.

Seems like there has always been drama there. Wonder if its intentional.......

Have used a couple of the blue top boxes in superdutys, and they have been awesome.

That's what I've gathered from various online sources but who knows. Seems like every company turns out a DOA unit sooner or later and I just try to stack the odds in my favor if i can.

Just checked prices and the BlueTop is only $50 more than most remans I've found. Boutique or not their price is very competitive.
