Best way to clean a rad?

If you gently soak down the front every 15 mins for an hour with a garden hose, the stuff will fall off pretty easily when you go to blow it out from the engine side.

You had better pay attention if you use a pressure washer. It is easy to mess up the core.

I personally think that using a power washer on a rad is just asking for big trouble.

I would rather take my time with a garden hose and have a good rad in the end than have a piece of scrap really quick.

If you use a 15 or 30* tip and keep off it a bit you should be just fine. Definatly dont get right on top of it and bend all the fins over, use a bit of finess.

hmmm,read my post?? been washing rads for the repair shop,,for 22 yrs!!! never had a problem...and never caused a leak that wasnt there...
