I have a 100 gallon aux tank for my truck for my WMO. I was considering running my heater hose from my heater core outlet through some kind of coil in the tank to warm it up. Thoughts? Ideas??
Are you planning on running it 100wmo or blending it 85wmo? I wonder cause if you use gas to blend then it might boil if it gets to warm. I was thinking of building "header tank" that heated. I was going to put a temp gauge and then 1996 Honda Civic heater control valve(cable operated, made for coolant, hose barbs, and easy to get from junk yards.) That way I could monitor the temps and keep from vapor-locking.
They make coolant heated fuel pickups, heated fuel lines, etc. Davco makes some cool filters that have coolant and electric heating.
This guy has some good thoughts.

Blending diesel will be super stable, so no heating issues with coolant. Might put a fuel temp prob and guage before the injection pump to see how warm it actually gets/hot enough. More for curiosity. I would think you might want less heat in summer so maybe a valve to control for different seasons? Not sure if it makes a difference. I have always wondered how fuel temp effects EGTs.
You thinking of doing mechanical valves or electric solenoids? They also make electric coolant pumps to help for remote heater. Kinda cool
I would say from the bottom. Which should present that much less stress on lift pumps.
