Can vegetable oil be mixed with diesel and or wmo?

I never tried any in the truck, but mixed some in a jar and never got it to mix.....

To add to this, after having this in a jar, a crusty film was left in the jar (and the funnel I used to get it in the jar) for many years.

I use 1/2 gallon of used canola oil in my '89, and thus far no problems. my belief is that it may help lubricate the IP. Im just real careful during winter; then I use Butchs with the canola oil. Ill let you know if I have problems later.
