I have an injection pump that was rebuilt locally less than a year ago and has around 5,000 miles on it.

$100.00 plus shipping. I think shipping runs around 13 bucks.

It is a non turbo pump but was turned up to run with my Banks unit.

I thought it was another bad rebuild, so I sent a new Pensacola turbo pump to Mel and had it baby moosed.

The damn truck still runs like **** and I know I have done everything possible to make it run right, so the old pump is still good.

Yes, I had them rebuilt. Ever since I have had this truck, it runs a little rough once the engine gets to full temp and gets worse on a hot day.

The truck ran real good when we put the top end back on but we were having cold weather and the truck ran fine.

Now, we are having mid 90 temps and the truck runs like crap in the afternoons when I drive home from work.

It's a shame that it has this problem, because since doing the heads, this thing hasn't used a drop of oil in 2,000 miles! The motor is excellent mechanically.

This may be a dumb idea, but have you ever tried taking a 1 gallon jug of diesel, and connecting it directly to the inlet of the IP to see if bypassing the entire fuel system solves your problem?

I havn't yet Mel but I have thought about that, maybe I'll try it.

I am really stumped on why this thing runs so bad when it's warm or worse when it's hot.
Someone mentioned to me yesterday that maybe it's a fuel temperature issue but I have never heard of that being a problem on a diesel.
