1990 F250 7.3 IDI Broken oil Dipstick

It says that it's an OE dipstick so it should work. Before you try to use it, lay it out next to your current, broken one and make sure that they're the same. Just lay the two pieces of yours together like they're still together. Then you can let us know. If you don't go this way, get ahold of Thewespaul. I'd bet that he has one or two laying around.

That was what I was thinking I would do. Just wanted to see if anyone was using it ... but the fact that we were thinking the same thing makes me feel a little better about buying it. I will report back after I get the new dipstick and most importantly remove the broken piece hopefully from the tube and not via the oil pan.

Just a quick update.

The replacement dipstick listed in the first post matched the original in length perfectly. And I was also lucky enough that when I pulled the dipstick tube that the broken end was still there and hadn't fallen in the oil pan.
