Yes I will use for occasional towing probably 7500 - 8000lbs.
Will not be a daily driver just a backup vehicle only to be driven when I need to tow.
If you want to deal with someone local I do pumps as well, I can do stock to wild. I also have the rotunda injector seat reamer that you can borrow if the seats where the copper washer sit aren’t flat

Can ya rebuild injectors as well? (or take a look at them and see if they are rebuildable)
Or is it better to replace them?
If so can you suggest a vendor and or part number?

I can take your injectors and rebuild them with new nozzles or I can get all new injectors from stanadyne, usually $30 more to just go all new and saves you an extra step

Well, guys, I finally had a little time to start tearing the turbo motor down. Here is pic of the intake wheel. I am sure she would go another 100k without a rebuildLOL. Looks like it might have sucked in a bird!

I have a PM in to Russ about a rebuild. At least it turns smoothly, and so far the bolts are all coming out easy. With regard to factory heat shielding: is there any way to release those "oetiker" type band clamps without destroying them?

You got to cut them and replace them with stainless zip ties if you want to reuse the heat shielding. I prefer exhaust wrap over the stock stuff

So, as I am taking the turbo stuff apart and inspecting and cleaning parts, I am also doing research and preparing for the eventual install. I pulled up the ATS 093 installation instructions off the web, and noticed some differences between the 093 system and the OEM system (besides the downpipe). With the 093 system, ATS only included the driver's side valve cover for relocating the CDR. There is nothing mentioned in the instructions about relocating the GP controller either. Did ATS just leave the GP controller in its original location due to the "shorter" N/A harness? The directions are not very clear, but was there heat shielding provided to go around the GP controller? I ask because I would just as soon leave the GP controller in its original location since I rebuilt the harness in my truck a couple of years ago. The harness on the turbo motor I have is "tired" and would need to be gone through I needed to use it. I certainly would move the controller to the valve cover though if the controller is in the way of the turbo and if the heat would eventually destroy it. Obviously, ATS and Ford had a reason for moving the GP controller out the passengers side valve cover.

I relocated the controller near the passenger side battery. No big deal just extend a couple of wires. I'll post a picture when I get a chance later. That is if it doesn't rain... Good luck with your adventure!

Here is where I put my controller.

I made and attached a bracket to the oil dipstick bracket. No need to extend the factory wiring just some creative re-routing. Been there since 08' without issues.

Thanks, Guys! I have the passengers side valve cover with the bracket for the GP controller - just didn't know if the N/A wiring would reach. Also, I didn't want to remove the current valve cover if I did not have to. I may just make a bracket and put the controller in a similar location as Dirtleg's.

WOW, someone finally noticed the differences.LOL
I get all kinds of wierd responses when someone says they have a factory 093, and I say, "well which is it"? LOL

I have seen a few 093 kits with the controller under the turbo with no heat shielding and they were fine. What pain to deal with though when you need to do something with the controller.
