Might work. If you get it to wiggle, can always go with cranking it over. Just make sure to cover it with a heavy blanket. Can come shooting out like a bullet.

Yes! Its broke down too. My 92 idi is my first love (my avatar). I bought her when I was in HS in 1996, has over 500k miles now and runs great. Just has a busted axle that I cant get out. I did find a rear end for it but I drug my feet and its gone now. Depending upon what happens with this 97.... that 92 might get its rear end! Idk!!!Lol oh yeah, I think I saw your threads on the other site.
You were trying to replace the axle in the idi?

Haha nice.
Any chance you have access to a tig welder?

I have not used anytype of heat around it because of what Idioit said about the injector cup. My dad and I talked about trying to weld something to it but it's just really hard to get to, because it is the plug right next to the firewall. The brake booster is not in the way but it makes it akward. When I get home from work I will continue with the slide hammer. You could weld something to it to give you leverage. Maybe.
After all this, now mine aren't working. I think it's my harnesses and plugs though. Lol
