No lol. What kind of oil do they use? Also when I press the new one on is there some kind of clearances I need to be concerned about?

Just get the pulley even with how it was. Lol
On the back of the pump will be a small bolt plug, remove it to check the oil.
I can't remember the best thing to use in it. Maybe was mmo?

Ok thanks. Did you have to pull the pulley with the pump on the truck? There isnt enough room to get my mounting bolts out. They hit the pulley.

Yeah pull the pulley with it bolted down, then put it back on once it's bolted down. Lol
Some pullers won't have enough room though.

When I changed my t-stat I took the bracket with the pump attached out as a unit. It was only held in with two bolts which were easy to access.

Nice lol. That probably means the fan blade, shroud, and radiator have to come out.

I pulled mine off the truck and pulled the pulley in a vise, and did the re-install on the bench as well...
A P/S puller works best from my understanding .. I think i thats what i used .. that was 5 yrs ago ...

Did you replace the vac pump on the truck in your sig? Maybe ours are different. I do not see any way to get the pump off without pulling the pulley first.I pulled mine off the truck and pulled the pulley in a vise, and did the re-install on the bench as well...
A P/S puller works best from my understanding .. I think i thats what i used .. that was 5 yrs ago ...

Gotta use a open ended wrench.
I think that's actually how I did my brothers 93, because the puller wouldn't fit in there.

Thanks you have been alot of help answering my questions. Are you saying use an open ended wrench on the puller or to get the vac pump off? Like i said the bolts are hitting the pulley before i can get them out.

Loosen both bolts and I think you can wiggle the pump to get them all the way out.

Generally, do new pumps come pre-oiled or not?

I just swapped out pumps with a used one all built up with the pulley and bracket. It held 27" consistently at idle and under power. The pedal feels a lot different but no more random hard brakes and scary stops.
