The vacuum pump on my 2005 6.0 let go while I was driving and I lost the brakes. Replaced the booster and MC, and I ordered a Standard Motor Products VCP119 pump. OEM pump bolts would not come out for trying, and the pulley was solidly rusted on, so I had to cut off the pulley while it was on the engine to remove the pump. I ordered a Dorman 300-156 pulley. Unfortunately, the Dorman pulley hole is tapered, and the pump shaft is not. Pulley goes on 1/8" on its own, and then about a 1/2" with the pulley installer tool and then it seizes, well short of completely being seated. Anyone have the OEM pulley part number, or somewhere that I may buy a used one?

I don’t know anything about the 6.0 (other than people cap on em all the time ha) but per rock auto for a ‘05 (both f250 & 350 because they should be the same and checked both) they spec the standard motor products VCP112 and don’t list VCP119. Is it possibly the wrong parts you got? It does not appear RA sells the pulley either from my initial search.
Not sure what would account for your issue but wish you luck and expediency with getting it resolved.

Just looked again and I think the difference between VCP112 and VCP119 is electrical vs mechanical - they look different and the VCP119 is similar to the vac pump on the IDI. Not sure which your truck has though
The vacuum pumps on the 6.0L are electric. For the 6.0L, vacuum is for the climate control and 4WD hubs only.
The brake assist for the 6.0L's are HYDROBOOST (power steering pump), not vacuum.
Take the truck to a mechanic.
