More information please! :)

There is a write up in the tech section. I used a Crown Vic fan since it is 2 speed and I found one in a local yard. No problems with it, not sure of the specs, but it is a rather temperate climate in this area. Not sure how much that could come in to play.

Can't say as I've upgraded rather than just get it reliable, a sittin truck ain't a happy truck, having to make all systems a go first, then it'll be time to do some upgrades. That said, some of these are considered slight upgrades.

Single wire 3G Alternator
E-pump, fuel with relay
Marine grade fuel hose
Marine grade 00 battery/starter cables
Viton O-rings- with lifetime supply from McMCar
Tach sensor
Head light harness from LMC
Rebuilt tranny- upgraded to HD TC, double clutched, Big azzed pan from Raptor, with temp sender(not yet hooked up-building gauge console)
FIPL/TPS replaced
U-Haul IP- not yet installed
Driver door window motor
Door and bed striker sleeves
Belts all new
DCA-2 additive
Adjustable inside rail mounted bed tie downs

Have parts- waiting for installation, Hydroboost, U-Haul IP- needs a tune from uknowwho and need bb's with Hypermax, front flex brake lines, power steering reservoir upgrade for HB, 1/2 built 3 pod dash gauge cluster- gauges to order- Glowshift: trans temp, 12V and oil pressure. 95 Gal diesel bed tank.

Disappointments- needed trans rebuilt due to failing right away, needing truck. Didn't pay as much attention to what should've gone into it, and where to put the shift points. Overall, still a decent rebuild, not exact under pressure of deadline.

Also, Centrimatics not listed as an upgrade due to didn't fit proper. Installed what appeared to be proper fitting pair on front. Pax side ended up rubbing into brake caliper on first right hand turn and ruined it. Not sure why it happened, caliper seemed solidly in place and when doing the free spin test before letting it off the jack, no rub issues. Also, when I rejacked that side, tried to retighten wheel lugs, they were a no go left, so not wheel slop. Part of the issue was rivets inside wheel forced the Centrimatic out and I think the return on the caliper after braking make them connect(????). Drivers side was perfect.... don't know what I could've done differently.

Wish list- Upgrade stereo system, paint(already have Marine grade steel primer) color scheme is getting closer to reality, will be 2 tone black with black cherry red metallic. The red will be on hood and center panels on sides. Jet black metallic(red flakes) all else. New Captains chairs, possibly electric conversion. Center console box will be something else, the plastic is bothering me and a lot of wasted space forward of the box- may build something out of teak or red mahogany. Install a couple of power take offs- 12V/110V along with interior box lighting. Cell phone, pen, day planner, cup holder something aruther.

Hey! My buddy calls this my Corvette. Although I like Vette's, I'd never own one. Might as well make it my toy, even if it is practical or useful!

Rebuilding an old truck! cookoo

More money than sense.... obviously! cookoo cookoo

Until you price a new one.

Yeeeeah...... or grow tired of that 6.0, ain't gunna buy nuthin new again from them cuz they didn't take care of the consumer on that one, don't trust 'em to do the right thing on $40,000+++ priced vehicles protesting for the rest of my life to never again buy anything that expensive new..... and it just ain't Ferd.

It's not that I can't afford it, it's I don't trust them with my money any more. If I did what they do to their customers, I'd be out of business by years end. They want a lot of money for no accountability.

interesting to see intercoolers posted in top 3-4 mod lists.its the only way to be able keep on the skinny pulling loads hey guys? if this is the case, then turbo's by themselves are not all that useful?

you know snapon, the more i think this over, the more i think how important the rust preventive paint probably is.the trucks no good if we dont keep 'em from rotting out.i may need to rethink my list.
sure is hard picking just 3-4 of the top mods i tell ya.

let me put the train of thought this way. just about every heavy pulling diesel has in IC hung on it. Truck manufacturers won't do anything without a really good reason to do so. without an IC, you can crank up the fuel but you have to watch the pyro and adjust your throttle accordingly, usually not in a good direction. My plug for the IC is that it is a passive power adder. you can install it and forget it unless you take a bullet in the IC. for most normal people that will never happen. You now gain a cooler/denser air charge and you can add more fuel as a result. You actually tend to use less fuel due to the fact you don't have your foot in the throttle as much. Yes, depending on the design, you may have some serviceability issues on the motor, but overall, the tradeoffs imho was well worth the expense. yes, my system cost me $1300, the engineering that went into it justifies the expense. I didn't have to cut into my radiator support!;Sweet

1. The aluminum racing radiator

2. The Dana 60 swap.

3. The ZF S5 47 from a 1997 PSD when the E4OD puked it's internals.

4. The glasspack cherrybomb muffler and 4" stacks. A little more mileage and DECENT sound!!

I would say that tops my list...in that order too.

I'm surprised none of y'all have listed a seat cover, what's it all worth unless you put a girl in it?
