I thought it was a mechanic for about that long. I'm a welder at work. I was a glorified parts changer on these trucks for just over 6 years. They were just mostly big parts-engines.But he boasted about being a welder for 35 whatever years. Which is it????

85, 86, and 87 Honda Big Reds are perfect and need no modifications........if only Henry Ford could've seen them.....I'm a master tech, and have been a heavy duty mechanic for 11 years now, and I can even admit that the products I work on, while big and red and have a shiny silver C on them... Have their flaws. No kool aid here!
Speaking of ford getting it right the first time… just got finished wiring up a headlight relay harness. Threw me for a loop for a bit because thought it connects into the main wiring loom but finally saw a video showing how it plugs into one old/original headlight pigtail. Then the other headlight pigtail can just hang out.
Was happy it truly was plug n play as advertised after all.
Waiting for it to get dark to really test how much the brightness is changed but mostly just want to go easy on the wiring. Headlights were a large current draw
You're not gonna see anything with that old under hood lamp you have........

Reminds me of another member we had on here briefly that was saying he was on the engine r&d team and there was no point to studs as they didn't do anything. Remember him? What if he was literally one of the engineers that designed our trucks and all of our modifications are tearing him apart inside![]()
What? No mention of the 1988 250ES?85, 86, and 87 Honda Big Reds are perfect and need no modifications
Same here. I did mine more for preventative measures than anything else. That was the big thing for me too. I've seen enough pictures of burnt up dashes to not want anything more going through the headlight switch!
I would have mentioned it if I lived in Australia! What? No mention of the 1988 250ES?

Or it could wait until morning. In all honesty they probably figured if that candle isn't enough to see to fix it you'd be calling a tow truck anyway![]()
I wish he would come back and answer some questions. From the reading I did, sounded like maybe he was involved with the factory turbo stuff, maybe some design and testing?Reminds me of another member we had on here briefly that was saying he was on the engine r&d team and there was no point to studs as they didn't do anything. Exactly. That's the only real problem I had with him.Nah, just come in, stir the pot, not elaborate, then dip.

Hey, I run my truck on used motor oil, it's real easy, pour and go....... gotta run........Exactly. That's the only real problem I had with him.
