Injectors Out And On Their Way To Moose Tomorrow

After contacting Moose Diesel this morning they informed me that they too were out of stock and waiting on cores but if I send mine in they can turn them right away. So after work, back to work I went. What needs to be done the the injector bore and threads before reinstall, any tips? When I get them back they will be going in with all new parts and glow plugs.

The back area under the GP controller and CDR calve was pretty grimey so it got cleaned up and drain hoke blown out, it was plugged. CDR valve soaking in dawn and hot water.

All cleaned up and ready for a new coat of Grey then the old glow plugs will come out for replacement.

Never heard of this brand of injector, guessing they aren't the originals.

Snap on makes a wire brush with a 2 step profile to clean both bores at once.
Tag me for a part number if you can't find it...

Can any vouch for moose diesel buddy injectors? I'm kinda rethinking sending these off today and canceling. They sent a confirmation of my order yesturday but no instructions on how to send my cores in for rebuild since they have none. I replied to the confirmation and have still heard nothing. I don't want to send these away and be stuck with nothing for weeks on end. Maybe since I have them out now I should go with classic or r&d? I'm on a bit of a time frame so I can't have this thing sitting for weeks. Open for any ideas.

William Deering on Facebook has also started doing injectors. My understanding is that everyone who has purchased his injectors are satisfied.

When I was at Justin`s shop, I mentioned I had some used Injectors if he wanted them. Told me at that time, he only
buys new Injectors and then goes through them so they are
all straight shooters. That was a year N half ago.

I was on Russ repair web site, looking to buy his Clutch Line.
Wasn`t listed and contacted them. They refered me to William
Deering. He replied to me...

"I bought Russ inventory of injectors and parts after he passed. And as Michelle stops selling certain items on the website I'll offer them. The clutch line is one of those items. I offer injectors to if you need them. $375 to rebuild yours, + $150 core charge if you need to exchange. "

Little tip installing the Injector Copper washers.
Use a narrow slot or a Phillips Screw Driver. Put the washer on the shaft, hold it with your Finger, stick it down into the hole, and let it go. It will be lined up perfectly.

Be sure to use Anti-Seiz on the Injector Threads, and the GP`s also.

Your new Injectors will be bare metal (most likely) mine were.
I cut 8 X`s in a card Board Box.
Taped off the top of the Injector and threads.
Pushed them into the X`s on the box, and then gave them a shot of paint.

Used krylon grey, close to the grey on the engine.
