I was holding off on the 3g alternator upgrade to delete the vacuum pump, but that's going to happen as soon as I get the axles swapped.all the vacuum does is actuate the blend doors.
when i do my hydro swaps i use a super duty E-vacuum pump.
works the HVAC like it should, and the pump only runs when when you need it
are you on V belts or serp?I was holding off on the 3g alternator upgrade to delete the vacuum pump, but that's going to happen as soon as I get the axles swapped.
There's really no good excuse to not do it.
i wouldnt do a 3g.V belt.
I know the resistance of full 160 amp draw can seize a single V belt pulley on a higher rated alternator.
That said, I believe a smaller 130 amp one will work, and that'll double from stock.
1 wire swap?i wouldnt do a 3g.
not with V belts.
i would 1 wire swap
ive been running a 160A 1 wire for several years
Vacuum booster just died in the 92' f-350. Looking to go with hydro now.Edelman: 6014r, 71415,71416 & any reman hydroboost unit from rock auto
Then just modify the pedal as outlined in my tech article

I'm new to this modification, could you share why this article doesn't call for a new power steering pump & uses a different hose?
Do you happen to have a PN for that? When swapping over to the E-vacuum pump on a serp set up,how did accommodate for the lack of a vacuum pump pulley? Thankswhen i do my hydro swaps i use a super duty E-vacuum pump.
